04-06-2006, 11:34 PM Trev Joined on 04-07-2006 Posts 6 The new kid on the new block I am a christian of many decades, and during that time I took advantage of God's grace and abused alcohol. I am six months sober, and have found that I enjoy the company of others that are on this journey of recovery. I have little patience with thoughtless and frivolous conversations, although I do enjoy a good laugh. I think that sometimes I get dissapointed that now so much of my life is centered on alcohol, the absence, presence, past, the resulting effects, tactics, tools, meetings steps, inventories, amends, you know............. I hope that I get the opportunity to meet mature believers who desperately desire more intimacy with God and who seek to trust and obey. Trev    Report

As you can tell it is fairly new so give it some time and others will find us too. The journey of recovery into healing in the Name of Jesus can be very rewarding in and of itself. I know that I would like you, I appreciate your message, and if I am hearing you correctly, it's " Come to Jesus and be healed, body, mind and soul!" Every day I get closer to the point that I don't care about anything except God's great love for me in Christ Jesus, and for the things that Jesus cares about (bringing the ones that the Father has given him to etenal life, freedom ,joy, and heaven)  What freedom!!!!! my brokenness is the qualification to enter into the work.
